It’s been a bit of a slow year for the 2011 Dew Tour sponsorship scene. With the 2011 tour set to launch in Ocean City, Maryland July 21-24, the Tour was without title sponsors for both the first and second stops of the four stop tour.  Until now. Today, Pantech and the Dew Tour announced that the tech brand would be presenting sponsor of the Ocean City stop, now the Pantech Open. The second stop of the tour set for Portland, Oregon August 11-14 is still without a title sponsor. According to Erin Magee, Director, Channel Marketing of Pantech:

Dew Tour is a perfect platform for the Pantech brand that allows us to directly interact with our core audience. With Pantech’s market share rapidly increasing and customers asking for our products by name, we feel it’s time to expand our visibility in a bold way.
