Do you remember those crazy music videos when we were kids where bands like Guns ‘n Roses, Metallica and U2 played in giant stadiums in South America and the entire video you’d just marvel at the size of the crowd wondering why there weren’t any stadiums that big in the US? Well, this time it was the Red Bull X-Fighters Brasilia event that drew crowds nowhere near the size of those seen before at a freestyle motocross event. This past weekend’s stop of the tour in Brazil drew 100,000 fans and spectators – marking it as the largest crowd in FMX history. From Transworld:

Adams, who with the victory now has four career wins, said: “I’ve never seen so many people in one spot before. I’m just speechless.”

The remaining stops in the global series include: Rome (June 24), Madrid (July 15), Warsaw (August 6) and Sydney (September 17).

As we’ve said before, it looks like this extreme sports business is here to stay and is growing like never before. It’s time to get on the bus – or in this case, the dirtbike.
